Academic Seminars 2011

The Department of Meteorology systematically engages in research and training of it's students.The Department has a pool of highly qualified faculty that supports research in many areas of science including Engineering,Geo-spatial information,survey and mapping among others.

Academic field trip to Olkaria Geothermal Station by third year undergraduate students

Third year Bachelor of science in Meteorology students,accompanied by staff members,Visited Olkaria Geothermal Station in Naivasha Kenya on May 6,2011.The trip forms part of the many industrial based academic activities intergrated in the teaching culture of the Department.

Postgraduate students Visit the Kenyan coastline

The Department of Meteorology Master of Science and Postgraduate Diploma Students visited several  sites along the Kenyan Coast  recently. The students were accompanied by several staff members.

NUMA activities 2011

The Nairobi University Meteorological Students Association(NUMA)held elections for the officials for the 2011/2012 Academic year.NUMA organizes many other activities vital to young  Environmental scientists and other proffessionals.

CHINA/UNESCO - THE GREAT WALL FELLOWSHIP

China/UNESCO -- the Great Wall Fellowship program is a full scholarship program set up by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China (hereinafter referred to as MOE) for candidates recommended by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). MOE entrusts China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC) to manage the recruitment and carry out the routine management of this scholarship program.
